AOL Arena hosts the UEFA Cup round of 16 between Hamburg and Galatasaray. The host were impressive in the 2 leg demolition of Dutch team NEC Nijmegen in the previous round. However, things started taking the wrong turn thereafter when they lost both league games, conceding seven goals in the process. The sudden dip in form must be a worry for Martin Jol as the team have since slipped down to 5th in the Bundesliga standing. Interestingly, they have not drawn in their last 12 home matches.
Visitors Galatasaray disposed French outfit Bordeaux in the previous round, and subsequently winning their next 2 league matches as well. Despite their turnaround in form as opposed to the early season in the Turkish league, they are still prone to defensive lapses - especially in away games. They will be hoping to muster all their previous European match experience to get a positive result at Hamburg to bring back to the daunting Ali Sami Yen Stadium.

Hamburg's shock defeat to Monchengladbach must be a dampener to their preparations for this match. Their defense are in shambles but so does Galatasaray. I'd expect both teams to try to outscore each other in view of this. Hence, best bet would be to go for OVER 2.5 goals
